Featuring Brainy Baby! CLOSED

I am SO excited to have Brainy Baby as a sponsor of our celebration! Not only are they a sponsor, they are giving away 6 different products (and they sent all 6 to Krash and Ladybug to review for you)!!! You'll have to stay tuned to see what else they are giving away, but for today, here's their first great giveaway...

I immediately loved these simple and colorful animal puzzles and figured Krash would too. I put them on one of his trays and he was instantly attracted to them (which does NOT always happen!!!). He likes puzzles, so that's a plus.

I showed him how to do one of them and then let him work away. He was able to complete them on his own with minimal help from me. He stuck with it and completed them all!

After he finished I showed him how he could flip them over to see the big words on the back. He enjoyed this also!

These are great, simple, 3-piece puzzles, just perfect for Tot School! You can buy your own set here. Or you can try to win these!!!

Brainy Baby is giving away this puzzle set to one of our readers in honor of Krash!

Leave a comment telling how much these puzzles are selling for right now on the Brainy Baby site (you'll be amazed with the great sale!)!

After you do that, you can gain some extra entries by doing any of the following, remember to leave an extra comment for each item so they will count as entries...
  1. If you've ever linked up to Tot School (in the weekly MckLinky), give yourself an extra entry (you have to have done it before this post!).
  2. If you Subscribe/Follow Totally Tots, give yourself an extra entry!
  3. If you have a child who likes to do puzzles, give yourself an extra entry (tell how old in the comment)!
  4. If you will take a photo of your child playing with their new puzzles and post about it and Brainy Baby on your blog if you are the winner, give yourself an extra entry!!! (also an honor thing)
This Giveaway is open for the USA Only!

I will select a winner using Random.org, so be sure you leave a separate comment for each entry, I will also be moderating comments to check that your entries are valid-please be honest!

Contest ENDS September 3, 2009. Winner will be announced here, and emailed (your email MUST be in each comment/or enabled in blogger). Winner must reply to my email within 48 hours or another winner will be chosen.

Featuring Kimochis! CLOSED

When I stumbled across this product on another blog I was instantly intrigued. I went straight to their website to begin reading and was very impressed with this! I contacted the owner, who is a wonderful lady ;) and asked her to be a part of our celebration! Not only did she say yes, but she so kindly sent Krash his very own Kimochi Cloud and an extra feeling pack! What in the world is a Kimochi Cloud and a Feeling Pack, you ask? Well, let me tell you a bit about them!

These are the oh-so-cute Kimochis...

This is the Kimochi Cloud that Krash is now in love with...
The Cloud itself comes with the 3 feelings shown and we also got to try out this extra set! In our extra set there was one particular feeling that Krash was quite fond of...jealous! I have no idea why really, he barely understands what jealous even means, but he loves this little green guy!

When our Kimochi came in the mail I gave it to Krash and just let him explore...
Then we began to discuss the different feelings and we made their faces! Here he is being surprised...
Krash (and even Pac Man-age 7) has spent tons of time playing with his Kimochi, with and without me. For awhile he slept with a few of the little feelings (jealous included) but then we began to lose them in the covers so I made him stop sleeping with them!
I was so inspired by this toy that I also created a Tot Book all about feelings to kick off our new school year!!! We will be using our Kimochi along with our Tot Book to really work on identifying all of our feelings and how to handle them.

This toy is creative, open-ended, fun, and educational. It is well made, adorable and loved by my boys! I highly recommend a Kimochis, especially if you have a younger child who struggles with emotions at all. You can buy your own Kimochi here and read all of the wonderful ideas they have on their site!

I am thrilled that one of you will win your VERY OWN KIMOCHI!!! You even get to pick between the Huggtopus, Cloud, or Bug.

Visit Kimochis and leave a comment telling what your favorite character is!

After you do that, you can gain some extra entries by doing any of the following, remember to leave an extra comment for each item so they will count as entries...
  1. If you left an introduction COMMENT on the Introduce Yourself post, give yourself an extra entry (yes you can count this for each giveaway if you did it!!)
  2. If you've ever linked up to Tot School (in the weekly MckLinky), give yourself an extra entry (you have to have done it before this post!).
  3. If you are or become a FAN of Kimochis on Facebook, give yourself an extra entry.
  4. If you Subscribe/Follow Totally Tots, give yourself an extra entry!
  5. If you have a child who is 3 just like Krash, give yourself an extra entry!
  6. If you will take a photo of your child playing with their Kimochi and post about it and Kimochis on your blog if you are the winner, give yourself an extra entry!!! (also an honor thing)
This Giveaway is open for the USA Only!

Featuring No Throw! CLOSED

Photobucket

No Throw just seemed to be the perfect fit for my little sweetheart Krash. Anyone who has been reading here for any length of time will know why, as I am sure you can imagine him, you know ~ throwing things!! No Throw generously sent us this adorable lime green zoo animals tether strap for Krash to test out...

I immediately loved the color/pattern, and Krash did too, although he had no clue what it was for at first! ;) Once I showed him he was excited!!! I put it on his car seat first and then we tried it on his stroller...
It worked great both places!!! I now keep it in my van so I can strap his cup on when we get in, we also take it with us if he will be riding in a stroller or store cart at all. I have even used it for Ladybug to strap her toy to her car seat so it wouldn't fall! The best place I have used it is most definitely the grocery cart, it has been a sanity-saver there for sure!

No Throw is a product developed by 2 moms, who are also twin sisters! You can purchase your own No Throw at Walgreens or any of these listed retailers.

No Throw is generously donating a No Throw tether strap to one of my readers in honor of my little throwing darling...Krash!

Featuring Teeny Wahine!! CLOSED

Teeny Wahine is an Etsy shop that caught my eye right away. One glance and I immediately emailed her to ask her if she'd like to be involved in our celebration! She thankfully said yes and graciously donated a pair of booties to Ladybug for us to try out. I had to wait for them to arrive all the way from Australia, but it was worth the wait!!! I have honestly never seen hand made booties so adorable and well made. I couldn't stop oohing and ahhing over them!

I got them on her feet and the oohing and ahhing got even more intense. Seriously these things are SUPER cute. I am already planning to order her another pair for when she grows out of these.

Teeny Wahine also sells adorable hair clips (similar to the flowers on the booties), and also beanies with flowers on them!!! I can't wait for Ladybug's hair to be long enough to wear the new clip I plan to order also! That hat, oh my, I just might have to get her one of those too. If you'd like to buy anything for yourself and support a fellow Mommy, go here to see all that she has...you won't believe how reasonable her prices are!!!

Teeny Wahine is donating the pair of adorable booties shown in the photo below to one of you, in honor of Ladybug!

Featuring Backseat Drawing Jr!!! CLOSED

Photobucket

Out of the Box games recently sent Pac Man this wonderful game to review for you...our wonderful 1+1+1=1 readers!! Backseat Drawing Junior...

When they offered to send it to us, I was thrilled as I love the game Apples to Apples and this new game is made by the same company! I briefly looked at the game online and just knew Pac would love it and I was right!

He was really excited to start playing but I made him read the directions first so I could see if he could understand the game without me having to explain it to him...
He did! He is 7, and the game says it is meant for ages 7 and up, so I was thrilled that it was simple enough for him to understand right off the bat. You can go here to read the detailed rules if you'd like.

I was really excited to play with him, and LOVED that just the 2 of us could enjoy it together. The competitive game is played with 3 or more players, but mom and child or just 2 children can easily just take turns and have tons of fun giggling together-which is what we did!
This game is GREAT for communication skills, listening skills, and much, much more. The "director" has to tell the artist how to draw what is on the card and get the artist and the other players (if there are any) to guess it. ONLY certain types of words can be used (like positional words, directional words, shape words, etc.) so it makes it tricky! Here's Pac Man drawing while I was directing him...
He had NO CLUE what this was, even though it did indeed look like the picture on the card!!! Do you know what it is?

Here's more examples of a few we did together, he got the others, but did not get grapes!!! I drew the candle and the bag based on his directions.
He really enjoyed being the director, and I loved that he really had to think about how to describe what he was wanting me to draw!
I think you have figured out by now that we LOVE this game, I am so glad we now own it and I will be buying it for gifts in the future, it is that fun! There are 2 levels of pictures in this game-the junior edition, we played the easy level, and the harder level looks challenging enough for me as an adult! They do have an adult version of this game also though!

Educational aspects of Backseat Drawing can be found here, I read through these after I had decided on my own educational aspects list and I agree entirely with what they have-this game is great for so many reasons!

Out of the Box Games is donating this wonderful game to one of my readers in honor of Pac Man!!! A huge thanks to this great company!

Here's what you need to do to enter to win this fabulous game...

Leave a comment telling me and other readers what your favorite board game is!
